This course gives an overview of gram-negative infections and considers the key recommended guidance and preventive measures.
Gram-negative infection rates remain strong and are becoming increasingly challenging and resistant to many available antibiotics. These factors combined with targets to reduce healthcare associated gram-negative bloodstream infections increase the importance of increasing awareness and using preventive measures.
This course provides an overview of gram-negative bacteria and the resulting infections and challenges they present in a healthcare setting. The second module contains key guidance, summarised from a range of relevant UK publications, on managing and preventing gram-negative infections.
The course can be completed in multiple sessions on a variety of smart devices.
